Keith Cowlam is a well known Adelaide-based painter who spent twelve years in the United Kingdom. Cowlam's work focuses on landscapes across Australia, from the Coorong, South Australia, to the Olgas of the Northern Territory; from the northern beaches of New South Wales to Western Australia's Cottesloe. Inspired by a tour of Europe, one body of work included paintings of European landscape and architecture of southern France and central Italy.
In his most recent works, Cowlam paints South Australian hills town of Summertown. These beautiful representional works concentrate on the various symetries of the landscape.
