HILL SMITH GALLERY

Adam Lester

Adam Lester was born and raised in Melbourne, and has been based in Brisbane now for a few years. One could see him as a traditional hunter/gatherer, except it is visual preys this artist goes after. Lester's travels to Europe, Asia and North America, paired with family life and the constant playfulness of children have expanded his visual asemblages.

His works merge the mundane with the weird and wonderful and result in being humorous but often prickly and free the viewers to find meanings in unexpected places.
