The Smith Fellowship from Studio Escalier is awarded for artistic promise to a woman under the age of 30 who intends to make her career in the arts. Eleanor NOIR is the fourth recipient of the award.
The Smith Fellowship is an award funded by SE alumni in the memory of Tanza Lorraine Smith, who was a student in our 2007-2009 programs in Argenton-Chateau, France.

The 2016 Summer Intensive will be held in the Intensive Course Studio, on the main campus in Argenton-Chateau(79), a medieval town north of Bordeaux and south of the Loire Valley, in the Poitou-Charentes region of southwestern France.
